Small Groups

At CROSSPOINT, we believe that life is better together! If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal— a Small Group is the ideal place for that! In a Small Group, three to twelve people meet regularly for approximately eight weeks in homes, parks, coffee shops, and other locations throughout the Valley. There are a variety of groups you can choose from, and we would love to get you connected!

Types of Small Groups

  1. Discipleship Groups: These groups are focused on the truth of the Bible applied to life. These groups include:

    • Rooted

Rooted is a community discipleship experience, where participants discover and practice 7 themes of spiritual maturity, described as rhythms, which are essential to a healthy relationship with Jesus. Individuals establish firm roots in the Truth of God’s Word through personal study and then come together to discuss what they’re learning in a space where they are safe and known.

If you are new to CROSSPOINT or new in your relationship with Jesus we highly recommend laying a solid foundation in your spiritual life with Rooted.

    • Bible Book Studies

As followers of Jesus we are to be devoted to God’s Word, the Bible. Maturing in our faith requires that we grow in our personal ability to study and apply God’s timeless truths. Bible book studies focus on individual books of the Bible (Ruth, Jonah, John, Ephesians, etc.) and equip participants with the tools to study God’s word for a lifetime.

  2. Topical Groups: These groups range from parenting, worship, prayer, finances, marriage, and more depending on the particular season. Typically a book on the subject or a Video series is utilized to lay a foundation on the topic from a biblical point of view. Group members then interact over the subject matter, making personal applications to their lives. You will find that wisdom is gained and friendships are developed in this supportive environment.

  3. Interest Base Groups: Groups centered around a shared interest or activity.

What do you love to do? What kind of interest or activity fuels you? What life-stage are you in that largely defines your life rhythms? Interest based groups can be centered around Hiking, Bicycling, Running, Kids Soccer, Cooking, or Gardening. Interest based groups are formed around a shared area of enjoyment or need and use that common ground as an opportunity to grow in their relationship with one another and with Jesus.
